I've not been commenting/posting much for a while as I have an ongoing computer problem. My laptop keyboard has broken so I'm using a wireless keyboard, which seems to like refusing to work and opening different things on the toolbar/menu bar when I press a key rather than typing a letter. Wow that was a long sentence. So yeah, still here, still reading but not commenting much (copy/pasting of individual letters in time consuming and irritating).

Hope everyone's good. Not long until new Torchwood now :D

It's coming even sooner for me as I've managed to get (read [livejournal.com profile] mrhapptits  bought me) a ticket for the preview screening on 12th June in London. I'm excited already!  Wonder which cast members other than John Barrowman will be there.

Book Meme
01. Do you snack while you read? If so, favorite reading snack?

No.

02. Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of writing in books horrify you?

I hated having to write in books at school and have sworn never to do it again.

03. How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears? Laying the book flat open?

I, like [livejournal.com profile] foreverxkisses , use the receipt as a bookmark. I would never fold the corners down and laying it flat breaks the spine.

04. Fiction, Non-fiction, or both?

Fiction although the occasional autobiography is good.

05. Hardcopy or audiobooks?

Hardcopy. Audiobooks are good for when in cars either driving or when feeling travelsick.

06. Are you a person who tends to read to the end of chapters, or are you able to put a book down at any point?

Normally finish the chapter unless it's insanely long and I don't have the time then I stop at a suitable point.

07. If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop to look it up right away? Write it down to look it up later? Just try to infer what it means from the rest of the sentence, and keep going?

If I can't guess then I ask someone who's near me.

08. What are you currently reading?

The Murder Exchange by Simon Kernick, Pack Animals (Torchwood book), Necronomicon by H.P. Lovecraft and A Writers Tale by Russell T Davies.

09. What is the last book(s) you bought?
I tend to buy books whenever I go shopping. Think the last ones I bought were 3 of Ian Rankin's Rebus books but I can't be sure.

10. Are you the type of person that only reads one book at a time or can read more than one at a time?

I can read several, as my currently reading shows, but they need to be completely different genres/styles.

11. Do you like re-reading books?

Yeah, I re-read quite a bit. Sometimes you want to read a certain type of book and you have to dip into your old favourites.
